My father recently received his 60 year pin for being a member of the Masonic fraternity for 60 years. His District Deputy Grand Master presented him the pin on behalf of the Grand Master of Masons in Pennsylvania. I put the pin on my father just as I had put his 50 years pin on him 10 years ago. My father is now 94. After receiving the pin, the DDGM asked him if he would like to say anything. My father said he would like to tell about those in our family who were Masons and began to list names, names of lodges and lodge numbers of those who belonged to the Masons in our family. It was a rather lengthy list, all done without notes. He concluded by saying he was looking forward to receiving his 70 year pin. It was an evening that both of us will remember.
