Mine has a dual meaning.

Not only is it a goat, it is a goat undergoing personal improvement.

I chose the Templar Shield as my Avatar because of two reasons.

First is that I hold my York Rite membership above most all the other Organizations that I am affiliated with. In my area the Scottish Rite definitely holds dominance over the York Rite by a large margin, but I hold the York Rite closer in my heart.

Second is that I have always been a lover and armature scholar of medieval European history. I think that grew from spending a lot of time as a child at the library reading fairy tales and such things. In my later life I became involved in some of the reenacting societies and recently have became a licensed Falconer.

Well, I decided to retire my old avatar - the poor old fellow was getting very tired.

The new one is the logo of  Royal Arch Freemasonry in Western Australia with the Triple Tau at the apex of the triangle and the black swan in its centre. The black swan being our State emblem, and still very common here in Perth.

Being a Civil War buff, choosing my avatar was easy.  Here's a photo of the "Friend to Friend; A Brotherhood Undivided" monument at Gettysburg.  During the 3rd day of the battle when the Confederates were going over the wall at Cemetary Ridge, Confederate General Lewis Armistead was twice wounded.  Union Captain Henry Bingham, recognizing the Masonic signal of distress, went to the aid of his fallen Masonic brother.  These two Masons from different sides of that conflict are depicted in the monument.  It's a well-documented incident as are a couple of other similar incidents during the Civil War, most notably one at Cold Harbor, Va where a fallen Union soldier was given aid by a Confederate Mason.

LOL While I was asking two (now Brother) masons how to gain admission, we had a joke to watch Season 6, Episode 11 of the Simpsons that dealt with the "Stone Cutters."  Like the goat, it's been an ongoing joke with us that always makes us laugh even during tough times.

Elder Scrolls : Oblivion had a Knights of the Nine supplement.  You recover magical items to build your characters armor, Weapons and items (Nine of them in Fact).   You also unlock a "Priory" and encounter the spirits of Legendary Knights.  The thing that is so striking, I did all of this over two years ago before I joined KT.    You have to defeat them all in combat to prove your worth and then they tell your their tales. Then, you rebuild the Priory with newly assembled Knights to attack an evil Diedra Fortress. Favorite Video Game so far.

It seemed appropriate, that game was almost as long as my Pilgrimage!

I am a truck driver; although I drive a single axial Straight truck, not a big rig.
This avatar was created for me by a friend whom I am a member of another online community with. It is my avatar there also.

I was just looking for something Masonic, and unique, so I just shot a snap of our lodge emblem on one of our lapel pins. It's of our Square&Compasses, only surrounding Flax leafs. Flax is the emblem&flower of N. Ireland, and also has a little more significance being that it was my father-in-law who came up with the idea of featuring it in our lodge emblem.

I snapped it on a stone slap of our fireplace, which has deeper personal Masonic significance for me, and of the hearth.

My avatar is Shin Hayata of the Science Patrol. Any Brother who grew up in the 70s and chose after-school television over homework (as I did) ought to know that Hayata is, in fact, Ultraman. My ID name, "Zoffy" is Ultraman connected as well.

And the Masonic connection is that Ultraman is from the Land of Light.

Shoowatch!!!!
