Yesterday,  my son received his Initiatory and DeMolay degree!

This was one of the crowning moments for my son.  He was so proud to have finally received that which he has been waiting for four years to receive.

After his initiation, the first thing he said was "So now can be a Mason like you daddy?"  That's my boy, always looking forward.

Now all three of my children are actively involved in Masonic Youth organizations.

So much for my free time! Clap

As Advisory Chair of our local DeMolay Chapter, and soon-to-be Rainbow Dad I sympathize, but you forgot to mention your new job as Mobile Masonic ATM Machine LOL
DeMolay is a great organization and I hope your son's time in it will be worthwhile.

Thank you all for the congratulations.  As a quick update, my oldest daughter was just installed as Chaplain for her Bethel.  My youngest daughter was installed as Junior Custodian at her Bethel.  My son was just installed as Junior Steward in his Demolay Chapter.  They're moving up and getting ever more involved.

Daves, if blended Scotch is your poison, might I suggest A'bunadh.  It does not have an age statement on the bottle, but is only released in limited, small batches every year.
A'bunadh (pronounced aboonah) is exclusively aged in oak, sherry casks and due to the limited batch size, its nose and palate fluctuate year to year, but is one of the world's premier Scotch brands, IMO.

Aberlour (the parent distilery) also makes some VERY fine Single Malts (up to 18 year old) if you prefer Single Malt.

Thanks for the tip. I am also fond of single malts, but SWMBO prefers me not to drink these since I usually drink too much and then have difficulty walking. I agree Aberlour do make some very fine Single Malts. One of the finest Speyside distilleries.

Yikes, 12-year for a daily?  It's almost $100 bucks up here in our State-run liquor stores.  I have a few 10-years in my cabinet as they were half the price.  2 extra years for $50, no idea why.

Fortunately, it's a little cheaper here in San Diego, and I get my refreshments at the base liquor store where there is significant savings on the list price and no taxes which makes it much more affordable.

Belated Congrats on the degrees. As for the rest of this thread, I prefer a midrange port for daily consumption.
