A Texan Cow-boy has heard stories of the drinking prowess of the Irish.
He has a chance to visit and one afternoon walks into a bar and makes an announcement. "Any Irishman here that can outdrink a Texan will be rewarded handsomely. "Anybody here that can drink 10 pints in a row without stopping, I will pay them $1000.00 in cash." Most of the men stand around thinking about it, while one man walks out of the tavern. About 10 minutes later, he walks back in and asks if the offer was still active. The Texan replied "yes it was." The Irishman then stepped up to the bar to begin, and the Texan asked him why he left and then came back. He replied, " I had to go to the bar down the street to see if I could do it first" |
