An attempt is being made locally to restart a closed DeMolay chapter in my town. I have agreed to be an advisor and have been through the training. I am looking forward to the experience.

Good to hear - wonderful organization for boys.
It's very satisfying to see our own local chapter have a renewal. Best of luck getting your chapter back on it's feet - do make sure the local Lodges are supporting the effort too.

Just last night, we voted to accept a Chapter needing a home. We will take on about 20 boys, another Mason and myself will be the chapter Dads. The Lodge as a whole is excited about this new addition to our building. We even allotted them some money to get them started. I think the Lodge will grow from this, at least I hope so.

I am happy to report that our new Chapter is up and running, and now has 31 active boys. We are pleased that this worked out, it has already benefitted our Lodge as a few fathers have elected to join. |
