California’s #MotherLode region is one of our state’s greatest resources—not just because of the riches in gold it bore during the #GoldRush more than a century and a half ago, but also for the people, ideas, and history that emerged from the vein. It is also integral to the history of #Freemasonry in California, as many of the pioneers that made the area their home were #Freemasons who would prove instrumental to the formation of the first Grand Lodge of California.

On July 16, the 2020 California Masonic Symposium will explore the founding of #California and the founding of its Grand Lodge during the Gold Rush period, with a focus on the Gold Country Masons who were at the heart of both. Speakers including Grand Master John E. Trauner, Brian Bezner, Adam Kendall, Sean Metroka and Past Grand Master R. Stephen Doan will explore life during the Gold Rush, how mining camps turned into the state’s founding cities, and the origins of the California #Masonic Ritual.

Don’t miss these fascinating presentations, free and open to all; simply register online to reserve your spot.

Bob

I have watched several now, and no captions but...……….that doesn't mean they aren't available. I am technically challenged, maybe a button or icon to use.

I am still watching the video presentations from the GL of California.

Really good stuff here guys.

I do education in two Lodges, and there is a lot of material to get ideas and

content from these presentations.

You guys might find some of this stuff interesting.

Thanks to DE for sending/posting this.

The last web-in-air failed for some reason.

I was signed up for Wednesday the 13th. I even got reminders to be sure and watch.

Wednesday came, and the link would not work, I tried several times.

Afterwards, I got a reminder that it is stored and can be viewed later.

I tried that and to no avail.

No biggy, but I do like watching them, they are very informative.

I will try and catch the next one.
