I'm sorry for not being able to address this sooner but we had a serious problem with the FrontPage extensions on Mastermason.com due to the massive size that the site has grown to.

It was thought that our problems were related to something on the server but after consulting with a software engineer at Microsoft it was determined that our site grew to over 3 times the size that Frontpage extensions can handle. So a lot of time was wasted in trying to correct an unfixable problem.

To be brief, the only solution we have is to move our FrontPage extended sites to our sister domain of Mastermason.Org and then keep the number of FrontPage extended sites to under 300. We currently have over 960 sub-sites split between FTP access and FrontPage extensions on Mastermason.com. None of the current problems involve any of our sites or users who do not use FrontPage or have the extensions installed.

Some request forms have been set up so that our users can have their sites moved and be able to resume publishing & updating. The main page of http://Mastermason.com" rel="nofollow - Mastermason.com has been temporarily updated to explain the situation, present the solutions, and has the required forms.

Until we get caught up with moving the websites and setting up new access (which is time consuming), we're suspending issuing new webspace until after the dust settles. We've had to re-issue access several years ago and it typically takes about 3-4 months before the requests stop coming in and everyone can publish. So until all of our FrontPage users have been accommodated, we're not going to add any new sites during the transition.

I apologize again for not responding to everyone's requests until now. This is because we weren't sure about the status yet, and answering hundreds of emails to say "we're working on it" would have taken time away from trying to fix the problem. The easy thing to do would have been to abandon FrontPage support as most providers have done, but we didn't want our brethren who use FrontPage to suffer. So the only possible solution is now being provided to our FP Users even though it will require a lot of extra work on our part to migrate the sites to Mastermason.org.

Thank you all for your patience and I apologize for the aggravation it has caused many of you.

-------------
We can't solve our problems by using the same kind of thinking that created them.
