So gentlemen,

I have been reading online articles dating back years about the imminent decline of the Craft, appendent  bodies, and the Shrine. A multitude of programs have been put in place to increase numbers, or at least hold steady. Memberships continues to decline. Buildings are sold. Temples consolidate.

So, is it no longer a matter of "if" but "when" we cease to exist?

Well I can't speak for all the Shrine temples in Georgia. We have 5 of them. But, I joined the Yaarab Shrine Temple in Atlanta in a joint class where a candidate could become both a Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner in 2 days. I was already a Scottish Rite Mason, but we had 80 new Scottish Rite Masons and I believe it was 57 new Shriners. Since November our Shrine has created I believe 100 new nobles and going strong.

Hopefully, the tide is turning.

We are granting a dispensation for a new Shrine Temple in Brazil as I wrote this.

Al Malaikah in Los Angeles is making a big push to have Ambasadors in all lodges it covers.
It seems to be working as each ceremonial class has grown. IMO Shrinedom is Alive and Well.

I joined the Shrine in 1988. There were about 990,000 nobles then. Now there are about 400,000. I would love for the Shrine to come roaring back. Men just don't join clubs anymore. Sad.

That seems to be true.  Though I rather think that even if the numbers are reduced the quality hasn't been affected.
