I'm still "lurking" in the shadows. Even with my demitted status and anti-theism/religion points of view, I still enjoy reading about some of the goings-on, and even offering my opinions and experiences. Has been awfully quiet lately though...

I've been busy.  Things should slow down after the middle of next month.

I have some writings I have been working on.  I could post part(s) of it for debate, but I don't want to cause any disharmony.  It would be on the subject of religion, and religious belief.

I check in every day. I have been busy with renovating the house and with lodge work- I have been secretary of my lodge for about a year and a half. Both tasks are a lot of work, but a lot of fun, mostly. I have been retired since November and find I have been enjoying doing trim carpentry. I just took a 4 evening course in it but am learning a lot through trial and error.

In the forum, I miss learning about Masonic history, Masonic trivia etc., and the goings-on of Masonry throughout the country. I find it has been useful to know about various issues affecting Masonry in other areas. If things aren't going on, that's good, but if they are, its good to have the background, especially in the role of secretary of a lodge since people generally look to him for information and background like that.

I also check in every day.  I noticed that it has been "quiet" here also and have been wondering what we can do to have more postings.

(I posted this in the MM section) Briefly, I am the Prosecutor in an extremely high profile Masonic Trial this coming Sunday (4/9). While it is an honor to have been appointed to this position by the Grand Master, I am not really looking forward to it.

I started going back to college full time. This is in addition to working, being senior warden, and being married. I am also considering switching to another grand lodge as my current one seems behind the times. I don't see the point in volunteering and fighting. Especially living so close to a forward thinking grand lodge.

That would be the opposite of a backward thinking lodge.

Well, lets consider a backwards thinking lodge and apply the following:

Something something preconceived notions.

One dispels them. The other does not.

As for not posting, I think Grimore(spelling) antics burnt me out from posting here.

I know this is OT, but as far as GrimoireA3 goes, he never bothered me at all. He still visits here but he hasn't posted anything since last September. I think he (hopefully) got the message that while you can read all of the scholarly works about Freemasonry you want, you will never know what it is like to be one unless you become one which is something he said he would never do.
