Brethren,

Back in January 2018 I was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). After aggressive chemotherapy I was finally declared in deep remission in August 2018.

On December 3 2018 I went to the ER at a local hospital because I felt lousy and wouldn't you know it, the leukemia had come back and was transferred back to Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis. I am still in the hospital and will be for at least 2 more weeks while I recover from this last round of chemotherapy.

After that, I will go home for 2-3 weeks and return to the hospital one more time... for a bone marrow transplant. They say that without that the cancer will almost certainly return. They also say that the total time from the transplant until I am fully recovered could be close to a year. I guess it beats the alternative!

My Brothers, please keep my in your prayers.

Scott and I have met many times, and we served as DDGM's together in adjoining districts.

He is of very sound character, and a very strong will. An excellent Mason
and a great individual.

A positive attitude is needed and faith, along with will power.

He has all of these.

Best to you Scott.

Brethren all

It saddens me to have to say this, I just learned last night, that cancer won the battle with RWB Scott.

He passed about two weeks ago, and his family requested no Masonic service and a quiet, family wake. I learned of his death last night at a ritual practice from another Brother.

Scott and I were good friends and I will miss him. He had a great personality and an infectious laugh. The Brotherhood lost a great and good man.

God speed my Brother, go rest on high.
